Project: The Engine Shed
Entrant: Historic Environment Scotland/Reiach & Hall Architects
The Engine Shed is Scotland's dedicated building conservation centre, based in Stirling.
Run by Historic Environment Scotland, it serves as a central hub for building and conservation professionals as well as the general public.
The aim of the Engine Shed was to create both a visitor attraction and a space for learning and engagement.
It is now a multiuse building where visitors, school groups and building professionals mix on a daily basis and the programme of activity offers something for everyone.
