The Robert Gordon University
Robert Gordon University provides industry led undergraduate and postgraduate courses leading to highly relevant awards and degrees. Situated on one of the most beautiful campuses in the UK, the university provides facilities that will have a real influence on your capacity to learn.
The teaching staff have an outstanding reputation for quality and academic research and their track record in graduate employment is the best in Scotland. Their range of degree courses include online degrees as well as traditional taught courses in subjects as diverse as art and design, management and engineering.
Resonating through our culture is the desire to foster collaborative relationships with local, regional and global communities to develop socially responsible citizens and promote ethical behaviour.
Robert Gordon University offer two distinct CPD modules:
- BIM Strategy and Concepts (ACM015)
- BIM Application (ACM016)
Learning will take place through the University virtual campus (CampusMoodle) with a mix of online lectures, tutorials and self guided study. Each topic within the module will have a number of self required and obligatory activities aimed at emphasising the learning. You will also contribute to a number of discussion forums on particular subject matter and case studies.
The university welcomes applicants holding an honours degree in architecture, architectural technology, surveying, engineering, planning or any associated discipline. The course may also be of interest to graduates from a design background, including interior design and product design. They also welcome applications from people working in industry, where they recognise practical experience as an entry qualification to the CPD programme.
The modules are assessed through coursework assignment, including where appropriate group working activities.
Both formative and summative (graded) feedback is provided through their online system. In addition, students are encouraged to engage in online discussion with other students, which we have found provides an excellent way to give and receive feedback as studies progress.
Cost/fee for attendance: £600 per module
