Reducing the Performance Gap Through Fabric First

Recticel Insulation manufacture rigid PIR insulation boards for the construction industry. They have also undertaken training initiatives with our distribution customers, including running half day sessions at the Greenworks training academy in Birmingham.
 
The presentation will improve understanding and confidence regarding insulation and how it is used; how its performance is measured; the role of the designer/specifier in ensuring that manufacturers like Recticel provide accurate U-value calculations and condensation risk analyses; and where insulation works with airtightness and thermal bridging details to contribute to a 'fabric first' approach.
 
The presentation is around 40 minutes, with time for questions to make an hour in total - a typical 'lunchtime'. Recticel regional representatives visit the office of the audience to deliver the seminar, and the target audience is architects/ technologists/ designers and specifiers. 
 
The presentation has been written by members of Recticel's technical team with many years of experience in the insulation industry between them, and one of them a CIAT member who used to work in practice.
 
Recticel submits CPD certificates electronically, giving the audience access to additional resources and a point of contact to respond to them with any general points.
