Architectural Technician who wants to get noticed required, Manchester
It's easy to get comfortable in a job. It's easy to bury your head and not notice the opportunities around you, that from time to time you should be looking at. This is a job for a good performer, who wants to reject the notion that they're just a Technician so can't get higher, maybe someone who has been in their comfort zone for too long and deep down longs for progression, or perhaps you've given up hope for the kind of practice and projects that might get you noticed.
Whether you spend your money or save it, up to £40k shouldn't be your long term ambition. Think more about the fact you're the first Senior operational person into a new team at this established practice, working as the number 2 to the new partner.
You will be leant upon to manage and deliver a range of projects and to be the technical lead for the team long term. Can you be someone others look up to in a big way a few years down the line?
The leader of the office is more than happy for people to work from home on a regular basis. That's the kind of trust you'll receive, and your family and personal life will benefit. It's a front end, trendsetting practice with a growing name in the list of noteworthy practices in the North. The practice uses Revit, so you'll need at least the basics.
They are award winners in the Commercial and Residential sector. But the new team will also touch strongly on Healthcare; if you can provide knowledge and leadership in Health then you really will be the key operational staff member in the office.
