The award-winning home event for ideas, inspiration and expert advice returns to Birmingham's NEC
On 9 - 13 October 2019, the NEC will play host to Grand Designs Live; bringing the height of home design and innovation to Birmingham. The event offers a great day out with hundreds of innovative ideas for the home, instructive talks and demonstrations, with design guru and TV broadcaster, Kevin McCloud leading the event.
Whether you are starting out on your first renovation, building a new home, redecorating a room, installing a new kitchen or simply looking for ideas, Grand Designs Live is the must-visit event for anyone wanting to learn about the world of interiors, design and self-build.

The Under the Stairs Project:
See eight interior designers create insightful and inspirational room sets, using a commonly neglected area in the home, for visitors to take information and ideas for their own mini grand designs.
Ask an Expert:
Visitors can access free one-to-one consultations with specialists ranging from architectural technologists, to designers and project managers. Bring along your plans, ideas and budgets to discuss the next steps in your project.
Grand Designs turns 20 this year:
Grand Designs the TV series turns 20 and to celebrate, the event will be featuring fun and exciting features focused around past and present houses, and their owners.
Kevin's Green Heroes:
Discover this year's most ground-breaking and eco-friendly products on the market, handpicked by Kevin McCloud.
See Kevin McCloud, designers from the TV show, including the new series Grand Designs: The Street, as well as an abundance of experts covering a range of live demos and inspiring talks.
Single-use plastic ban:
Grand Designs Live will continue its initiative to reduce the consumption of single-use plastic at the show by banning plastic bottles, straws and cutlery; replacing them with biodegradable alternatives, aiming to turn the tide on plastic pollution.
