Early bird rate closes 14 August

Secure your place at this year’s RIBA Smart Practice Conference at M Shed in Bristol on 3 October. The RIBA member ticket rate is open to CIAT members! Early Bird tickets are available until 14 August.

This year’s theme is New Opportunities, placing the spotlight on business development. How should you set about identifying the right potential areas of new work for you and your practice? The conference highlights how a proactive approach to seeking out business opportunities can reap benefits for individuals and their practices.

Smart Practice Conference 2017 sets out to provide the ignition for business development, while also focusing on some of the strongest emerging sectors, such as infrastructure and housing, and how they are being fuelled by devolution and new transport links. It will highlight new delivery systems, such as offsite delivery, custom build and CLT and how an engagement with new technologies can provide the possibility of offering new areas of expertise.

Keynote speaker:  Jan Knikker, Partner for Development at MVRDV

MC for the Day: Melissa Mean, Head of Arts at Knowle West Media Centre

The conference will be opened by RIBA President-Elect, Ben Derbyshire.
