Including: windows, doors, staircases, fixtures and fittings. Identifying causes of failure and the selection of appropriate repair and conservation systems including a conservation of traditional and modern materials and methods. This topic will also include historic paints and finishes which are so fundamental to the maintenance and longevity of historic joinery.

Cost: There will be a fee of £20 per person to cover the cost of all refreshments for each individual course.

Time: Coffee will be available from 09:00 with a 09:30 start. The course will finish around 16:00.

Road: At Beaulieu Village, follow the brown and white tourist signs to Buckler's Hard.

Rail: Take the train to Brockenhurst. There is a taxi rank at the station. The cost of a journey to Buckler's Hard by taxi currently costs approximately £20.

Parking: There is plenty of free car parking available within the gravel car park at Buckler’s Hard.

Arrival: Upon arrival please make your way to the visitor entrance and follow the signs to the Shipwright School Classroom which is situated down The Hard on the right hand side.
