This important one-day conference is unique in its ability to attract all key construction sectors together for one day to debate the issues expected and learn about the impacts of the new Building Control regulations on business and professionals in the sector.

This event will explore what your responsibilities are as an assigned certifier, or as otherwise engaged in the design or execution of construction work: where you stand if a problem arises and how these regulations are changing how projects are managed. CMG have gathered an expert line of speakers to provide clarity on the topics and ensure attendees leave better informed and armed with the right information for future projects.

One of the major concerns of industry professionals is the level of assessment, inspection and enforcement to be carried out by Building Control Authorities who are now operating to the June 2016 version of the framework for building control Authorities, which mainly deals with risk assessment and phased completion. An update of the Department of Environment’s 2014 Code of Practice for inspecting and certifying building is expected soon. The Code of Practice defines the roles of the various parties: Owner; Assigned Certifier and Building Control Authority. The conference programme will address issues as to ‘who and when’ statutory certificates and ancillary certificates are provided; Interface of parties and if there is a change of Assigned Certifier or Builder during the project. Practical issues and costs including the interface between BC(A)R and the Construction Products Regulations will be addressed as will the register of Building Contractors.

Some organisations booked to attend include; ESB International, John Paul Construction, Ervia, Eversheds Sutherland, KMD/Architecture, Buildings & Estates UCC, Liam Neville Developments Ltd., Carlow Fire & Rescue Service, Eamon Costello (Kerry) Ltd, Circle Voluntary Housing Association, John Duffy Design Group, just to name a few.

CMG events typically sell out quickly, so prompt booking is strongly advised to secure your place at the early bird rate Save €100.00 - Early Bird Rate is €365.00 + VAT (Normal rate €465.00 + VAT)

Please note the early bird discount can close sooner than expected once a certain amount of seats fill up, therefore your prompt booking is strongly advised to avoid dissapointment.
