London | CIAT LFA debate
The Changing Identity of London Communities in the Face of Rapid Urbanisation
The Changing Identity of London Communities in the Face of Rapid Urbanisation is the discussion topic for this debate session hosted by the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists (CIAT). Chaired by CIAT’s Chief Executive, Francesca Berriman MBE HonDTech, this debate will focus around two main themes: the role that the disciplines of Architectural Technology and architecture have in creating identities for communities in London and conversely, the role that identity has in developing Architectural Technology and architecture.
This will be an exciting and engaging opportunity, for all professionals in the built environment sector and for those with an interest in London’s landscape, to explore concepts that affect all communities and those living in the Capital. There will also be an opportunity for audience participation to contribute thoughts and ideas for the panel to explore.
The debate will feature a guest panel including Alex Naraian, President of CIAT, Virginia Rammou MCIAT, Programme Leader BSc(Hons) Architectural Technology, Dr David Hancock, Construction Director Cabinet Office, and Peter Murray Hon FRIBA FRSA AoU , Architect and one of the founding Directors of LFA.
The debate coincides with the University of Westminster’s Architectural Technology degree End of Year Show which attendees are invited to view after the session.
