Wexford: World nZEB Forum

Conference 15 - 16 Nov 2017
Republic of Ireland Centre

nearly Zero Energy Buildings

Ireland’s inaugural World Forum on nearly Zero Energy Buildings (nZEB) will take place in Wexford on Wednesday and Thursday, 15-16 November.

Wexford County Council will host a series of pre forum workshops at County Hall in Carriglawn  on Wednesday, 15 November, while the Forum proper will take place in Clayton White’s Hotel in the town centre the following day.

A total of 24 presenters from around the world, including Scott Foster, Director, Sustainable Energy Division, United Nations Economic Commission for Europe, will present papers on 12 exemplary high performance buildings from Ireland and abroad. These will include the tallest Passive House in the World, a 27 storey project in Manhattan, the much celebrated Central Bank project in Dublin and a major UK medical centre.

As nZEB will become mandatory in Ireland and across the EU from the end of 2018 for all public buildings and from 2020 for all other structures, this conference is of major importance as it will examine all aspects of nZEB as it applies to Ireland after its introduction next year.

Early booking is advisable through our online booking page here.
