Members can apply for CSCS cards to prove professional status whilst on site. These cards are increasingly demanded as proof of occupational competence by contractors, public and private clients and others. See below to find out which card you can apply for:

 

The Professionally Qualified Person's Card (PQP)

- You must be MCIAT, TCIAT or ACIAT.
- Pass the Professionally Qualified Persons Health & Safety test.
- Submit two referees: one from an employer (can be a client) and one from another MCIAT, TCIAT or ACIAT member; or from James Banks, Membership Director (james@ciat.org.uk).

 


The Academically Qualified Person's Card (AQP)

- You must be a profile candidate with a relevant academic qualification (HNC/HND/FdSc/degree or above).
- Pass the Academically Qualified Persons Health & Safety test.
- Submit two referees: one from an employer (can be a client); and one from another MCIAT, TCIAT or ACIAT member; or from James Banks, Membership Director (james@ciat.org.uk).

(If you are a profile candidate with no formal qualification, you can apply for the Technical Supervisory and Management Trainee Card.)

Visitor's Card

- There are two types depending upon level of escort required on site and these have different health & safety requirements.
- You must take and pass the Operative Health and Safety test.

 


Trainee Card

- You must be a student member.
- You must pass the Operative Health & Safety test.
- You must be working towards MCIAT/TCIAT/ACIAT.
