AIBD qualifies new BIM graduates

School's out for Certified Residential BIM Managers

The American Institute of Building Design (AIBD) graduated its second class of Certified Residential BIM Managers® on 16 September at the MiTtek training facility in Denver, Colorado. Six residential designers from three states completed the nine-part curriculum-based assessment programme. 

This innovative group of residential BIM specialists is confirmed to have the knowledge to utilize BIM effectively in residential construction, design and construction team leadership skills, digital visualisation techniques, sales, and marketing support, in addition to essential project material and cost information.

The graduates also have completed detailed instruction on project scheduling, phasing, staging, building life-cycle, material analysis, component assemblies, practical communication skills, as well as project management.
