Architectural Technology LGBT+ community and Building Equality

CIAT is delighted to announce its membership of Building Equality

CIAT is delighted to announce its membership of Building Equality, an alliance of construction organisations and professionals working together to drive LGBT+ inclusion in the built environment sector.

As part of the Institute’s membership, we can contribute at committee level (attending meetings, in person and remotely), participating in the organisation of events and take part in several Pride events around the country. Building Equality has grown substantially by expanding its reach from London into regional hubs in Leeds and Manchester.

If I want to participate — what do I need to do?
If you are based in (or around) London, Manchester or Leeds, it would be great if you wished to volunteer and represent Architectural Technology at the Building Equality meetings. In addition, new hubs are forming in Sheffield, Bristol and Glasgow. If you would like to be involved please contact Adam Endacott, Communications Director ([email protected])

CIAT at Pride events
CIAT will be at Pride in London (7 July) and Manchester Pride (24 August) and we have five allocated spaces to march with Building Equality in both – if you would like to join us then please contact Adam Endacott ([email protected]).

If you’d rather not be involved in a committee or take part in a Pride event but would like to be kept up to date on events and updates, then please contact Adam Endacott ([email protected]).

CIAT also works with Architecture LGBT+, which is based in London and administered by the RIBA.
