Killara by Junctions 90 wins the 2017 Building Designers' Association of Victoria (BDAV) Building Design of the Year

Killara - a residential alterations project by Junctions 90 in Melbourne, Australia has won the BDAV's 2017 Building Design of the Year.

The restoration of this stately 1850s home wrestled from the hands of developers demonstrates a clear value and respect of the original building’s materials and building methodologies. Attention paid by the designer to the marrying of new and old has rewarded the owners with a beautifully detailed heritage home for future generations to admire and enjoy.

Principal of Junctions 90, Dina Malathounis, also made BDAV history by being the first female building designer to win the coveted Building Design of the Year in the 22 years' history of the BDAV's annual Building Design Awards.
