Widely considered prestigous, the Venice Architecture Biennale takes place every other year. The next will take place in 2020.

The council are seeking a cross-disciplinary team that could include "architects, researchers, writers, artists, critics" and also "welcome collectives and teams from institutions and organisations".

The council is keen to see proposals that are "designed to provide a positive, accessible and inclusive visitor experience, and aim to reflect the rich diversity of British culture".

The deadline for applications via the open call is 18 February 2019.
