CEEQUAL is the sequel!

BRE have revealed that the CEEQUAL name will be retained for their combined sustainability rating schemes

BRE have revealed that the CEEQUAL name will be retained for their combined sustainability rating schemes for civil engineering and infrastructure.

Pre-registration of projects to the new scheme – CEEQUAL (2018) - is now open in advance of the full launch later this year. This will enable early stage infrastructure project teams interested in applying to look at the requirements now and factor them into their development plans.

The new scheme combines the best of BREEAM Infrastructure thinking with the experience and legacy of CEEQUAL to provide a world class scheme for the future that is true to the aspirations of both schemes and their users. It will sit alongside the BREEAM family of sustainability schemes for buildings and communities.

BRE Infrastructure Director Chris Broadbent said ‘We are very pleased to open pre-registration for CEEQUAL (2018). Our aim with this new single certification mark is to deliver enhanced environmental and social benefits for civil engineering works and better economic outcomes that benefit society. The legacy from both schemes, evident in world class projects like Phase 1 of HS2, Crossrail and the London 2012 Olympics will strengthen and grow.’

Existing CEEQUAL and BREEAM Infrastructure brands will continue to be used for project certifications until CEEQUAL (2018) is launched later this year.

Further details on the pre-registration process, including how to apply, can be found at www.ceequal.com.
