CIAT and STEMNET collaborate to promote Architectural Technology

CIAT and STEMNET are collaborating to promote the discipline and profession of Architectural Technology to the next generation.

STEMNET are a UK charity that works with companies, organisations and government to create opportunities for young people through science, engineering, technology and maths (STEM) subjects.

They deliver several UK-wide programmes, including the STEM Ambassadors Programme, through which 30,000 STEM Ambassadors use their enthusiasm and commitment to encourage young people to enjoy STEM subjects. They open the doors to a world of opportunities and possibilities which come from pursuing STEM subjects and careers. STEM Ambassadors not only inspire young people directly, they also support teachers in the classroom by explaining current applications of STEM in industry or research.

Members of all grades can sign up to become STEM Ambassadors. Members are encouraged to get proactively involved, as such involvement will help raise the profile and recognition of Architectural Technology and engage with the future of our profession.

STEMNET will provide relevant information and training.

The Institute is also looking for members who are already involved with STEMNET to write an article for consideration to be published in AT Journal. If this is of interest please contact the Membership Director, James Banks via email [email protected] for further information.
