Dubai university receives CIAT Accreditation

CIAT has Accredited its first bachelor programme in the Middle East and Africa Centre

CIAT is pleased to announce that it has Accredited its first bachelor programme in its Middle East and Africa Centre. Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Dubai was awarded Accreditation in Principle for its bachelor programme in Architecture.

Manipal is the first Bachelor of Architecture programme that CIAT has Accredited. The degree is a five-year English taught programme and has met the standards required by CIAT for it to receive Accreditation in Principle.

Graduates will be eligible for Associate membership, ACIAT and will also be entitled to exemptions against the Educational Standards of the MCIAT Professional Assessment when progressing to become a Chartered Architectural Technologist, MCIAT.

Paul Laycock MCIAT, Vice-President Education said, “This is a fantastic moment for the Institute and Dubai joins Denmark and the Republic of Ireland in our ever-increasing programmes which are recognised overseas. Architectural Technology is a pivotal discipline in the built environment sector and to see its growth across the world is brilliant. I hope this recognition by the lead qualifying body will continue with other universities across Europe and internationally.”
