Plaque presentation for 2017 AT Awards Winner

CIAT representatives travelled to South Tyneside on 20 July to present the plaque to the winning project in the 2017 Award for Technical Excellence in Architectural Technology, FaulknerBrowns Architects' public library, The Word.

The Word represents a real paradigm shift in the public library typology. As part of the first phase of South Tyneside Council’s 365 Regeneration Plan, Architects FaulknerBrowns were challenged to explore what a library for the 21st century should look like, and what it should offer to the public.
