LFA Digital launched

The London Festival of Architecture digital programme launches on 1 June 2020.

How can the London Festival of Architecture – the world's largest annual architecture festival – celebrate one of humankind's most tangible activities in a city in lockdown? Every June, London's streets are normally filled by the London Festival of Architecture's programme of hundred's of events bringing architecture to a vast public audience. This June, with the capital's streets deserted and designers – like everyone else – adapting to life online, the London Festival of Architecture presents LFA Digital – its first ever online edition.

Everyone can enjoy LFA Digital from 1 - 30 June at londonfestivalofarchitecture.org, on Instagram (@londonfestivalofarchitecture) and Twitter (@LFArchitecture). Throughout June, LFA Digital will bring architecture to a wide public and professional audience around the world, with a rich programme of over 120 events encompassing everything from online building tours, talks and films to new digital artwork and the first online Architecture Bake Off.

LFA Digital is an exciting new departure for the London Festival of Architecture, conceived in response to the Covid-19 lockdown and the result of an enthusiastic response by the festival's many friends and supporters in London and around the world. LFA Digital will by its very nature be very different from the LFA's traditional programme of physical events across London, which will hopefully still take place later in 2020 when it is safe to do so. Throughout its history the LFA has been pioneering, flexible and resilient: LFA Digital will be very different from the London Festival of Architecture's usual offer, and provides pointers to future editions of the LFA, which will continue to embrace the digital and physical as the festival develops its international profile.
