Metsa Wood to map out expertise in timber construction

Metsä Wood, one the world’s largest suppliers of wood products to the construction industry, is conducting the first ever survey of its kind, to explore the extent of expertise in wood construction.

The company is calling on UK based architects, structural engineers and other industry professionals to take part in this survey in a bid to map out the current landscape on which to build a more open and cooperating community of professional collaboration.

The project is part of its ambitious Open Source Wood (OSW) initiative; an open platform for sharing knowledge and innovation in modular wood construction. Open Source Wood gathers ideas and designs from all corners of the world and makes them available for all, free of charge. Via the OSW platform at www.opensourcewood.com, people can share ideas, see what others have done and connect with other like-minded professionals.

All UK based participants in the survey will be entered in a draw to win a trip, (including flights, accommodation and event entrance), from London to the Forum Wood Building Nordic event in Finland, held at the Clarion hotel in September 25–27, 2019. For more information on the event, visit http://forum-holzbau.com/nordic/. See also the Terms & Conditions for the prize draw.

The survey is carried out completely anonymously, so no identifiable personal information will be collected during participation. Only after the survey you will be given the option to enter your contact details for the contest. Your contact information will solely be used to contact.

The survey takes no longer than 20 minutes. You can take part in it here: https://my.surveypal.com/app/form?_d=0&_aid=877786103&_k=ENWBYiS7yw0stF-Yv8AK3rTOcvp63QSjoIPKx2Jow7sSfpwMnfkN_SZKRZXn9a4z&_p=1&
