Practice wins Build magazine award

James Carrick MCIAT, Director of Nicorna Healthcare, a healthcare architecture and planning practice in Hyde, Greater Manchester, has received Build magazine's award for Best Healthcare Architectural Practice – Greater Manchester.

Current projects by the practice include  designing a new PET-MR Scanner facility for the University of Manchester's Imaging Department at Central Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust in conjuction with MTX Contracts and ENGIE.

The facility needed to fit in an existing shelled space within the hospital estate and ensure that both the construction and operational elements of the facility did not cause disruption to adjacent areas from noise and vibration.

The practice also designed a new hospital for Tblisi, Georgia. (pictured)
