Request for volunteers to join External Advisory Committee

CIAT calls on Chartered Members with an interest in timber to consider being a representative on an EAC.

The Institute has been invited to become a member of an External Advisory Committee (EAC) for the "Knowledge Alliance of Sustainable Mid-Rise and Tall Wooden Buildings (KnoWood)" project.

KnoWood aims to fulfill the future demands within higher education for the teaching and learning, innovation, sustainability, transnational, trans-disciplinary understanding in sustainable mid-rise and tall wooden buildings; which will increase sustainable growing forestry, employment in timber within the construction industry.

The role of EAC is to provide a societal and industrial perspective on the issues raised and to provide advice on project activities, to improve studies and promote sustainable timber construction. The CIAT representative will be asked to report back to Central Office, who will disseminate information about the project to the wider membership
