Scotland's Draft Planning Delivery Advice withdrawn

Effective from 1 December 2017

A Chief Planner letter has been issued to all heads of planning outlining that the Scottish Government has decided to withdraw the Draft Planning Delivery Advice: Housing and Infrastructure, effective from 1 December 2017.

In the letter, the Government's Chief Planner Mr John McNairney said that this will allow it to focus its resources on the changes emerging from the planning review. Despite the withdrawal of the advice, there remains a strong policy position on planning for housing which is set out in Scottish Planning Policy (SPP) and supported by PAN 2/2010.
