StreetConnect presented with over £5000 by Scotland West Region

The charity StreetConnect has been presented with a handsome cheque following the Institute's AGM Weekend

The Scotland West Regional Committee were delighted to present StreetConnect, a Glasgow based charity, with a handsome cheque for £5002. The money was raised from the Friday night social evening, as part of the AGM Weekend, last month.

The social evening, organised by the Regional Committee, began with a Civic Reception at Glasgow City Chambers. Bailie Glenn Elder opened proceedings, welcoming attendees to the city of Glasgow, before an evening of traditional Scottish ceilidh dancing.

StreetConnect support disadvantaged individuals in their recovery from a variety of life controlling issues, were the chosen charity for the evening.
